| My peregrine falcon
'Yael'.
Hatched in Denmark on June the
5th 1992.
Peale's
peregrines are large dark birds that nest on the coast of Alaska and
British Columbia.
Falco
peregrinus pealei, or Peale’s peregrine, named for Titian R. Peale, an
early 19th century Philadelphia artist, is found mostly along
the Northwest coast of the United States, the western coast of Canada, the
Aleutians and the Bering Sea. This maritime species is mostly resident or only slightly
migratory and
was not as severely affected by man-made chemicals. |
